Microsoft has just unveiled two stunning Xbox controllers themed around *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt* in celebration of the game's 10th anniversary. These Witcher 3 Special Edition 10th Anniversary Xbox Controllers are now available exclusively through the Microsoft Store. You can choose between the standard version, priced at $79.99, and the Elite Series 2 model, which costs $169.99. As a fan of the game, I find it incredible that a decade has already passed since its release.

The design of both controllers is strikingly similar, featuring intricate etchings inspired by Geralt of Rivia. The iconic wolf medallion that Geralt wears is prominently etched into the center of each controller. According to the announcement blog, they also include Glagolitic script, which is the oldest known Slavic alphabet and is used within the game itself. Additionally, the right grip of the controllers showcases the red claw marks that represent the "III" from the game's title on its cover. The aesthetic is simply fantastic.
Beyond their Witcher-themed design, these controllers function just like their standard counterparts. Personally, the current Xbox controller is my top favorite of all time due to its comfortable feel and durability, which withstands the rough handling by my kids.
The Elite Series 2 model justifies its higher price with additional features such as adjustable-tension thumbsticks, hair trigger locks, and a wrap-around rubberized grip. It also comes with interchangeable components, including thumbsticks of various heights, different D-pad designs, and customizable rear paddles.
Both new Xbox controllers are compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android devices. For those not tied exclusively to Xbox, you might also be interested in the newly available Death Stranding 2-themed PS5 controller, which is currently up for preorder.
