Batman Podcast Spins Off New Series

Superhero stories are expanding beyond traditional screens, with major publishers now producing premium podcasts and audio dramas. DC Comics has launched its most ambitious audio project yet - DC High Volume: Batman. This series faithfully adapts seminal Batman graphic novels into immersive audio experiences.

More Than Just an Audio Drama

The project includes both the main adaptation series and an exclusive behind-the-scenes companion show. Journalist Coy Jandreau hosts the companion podcast, interviewing cast members like Batman voice actor Jason Spisak and DC executives such as Creative Director Mike Pallotta.

Jandreau explains how the companion content enhances the listening experience: "It adds context and production insights that deepen your appreciation for these classic stories being reimagined." The first bonus episode premiered April 24, exploring the creative process behind adapting Batman: Year One.

DC High Volume: Batman represents an ambitious transmedia experiment. The series begins with Frank Miller's Batman: Year One before progressing to Jeph Loeb's The Long Halloween.
