For much of the 21st century, Final Fantasy games were PlayStation exclusives. However, with a nearly 40-year history and a need to reach new audiences (and boost profits!), Square Enix, like many publishers, has embraced multi-platform releases. Beyond PC ports, they've also brought many remasters and special editions to Nintendo's handhelds.
This isn't entirely new territory. The series' origins trace back to Nintendo's Famicom in 1987, with the first six mainline entries appearing on Nintendo platforms before Square Enix shifted primarily to PlayStation with Final Fantasy VII.
With Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth's PC launch and a significant Magic: The Gathering expansion shining a renewed spotlight on the series in 2025, many are eager to explore Final Fantasy. Below is a complete list of available Switch titles for newcomers and veterans alike.
