Arrowhead Aims for Helldivers 2 Longevity, Eyes Warhammer 40K Collab

The remarkable success story of *Helldivers 2* continues to unfold, as the game has now clinched two prestigious BAFTA Game Awards: Best Multiplayer and Best Music, out of five nominations. These accolades mark the culmination of an exceptional awards season, highlighting a stellar year for the Swedish developer, Arrowhead.

It's worth recalling that *Helldivers 2* shattered records as the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game ever, with an astounding 12 million copies sold within just 12 weeks. This achievement is unlikely to be surpassed by any other first-party Sony-developed game. Since its explosive launch, the game has navigated through significant challenges, including a controversial reversal on PSN account requirements on Steam, intense review-bombing campaigns, and a community often in contention with the game's development due to fluctuating nerfs and buffs.

Throughout these trials, Arrowhead has faced the daunting task of managing a vastly larger and more mainstream playerbase than ever before. Now, 14 months following *Helldivers 2*'s debut on PC and PlayStation 5, the question arises: How does Arrowhead look back on this journey?
